This mahogany cross grained Louis XVI style games table is a new reproduction of a style made popular in the late 1700's in the provinces of France. Louis XVI style furniture such as this games table is characterized by elegant, refined lines, excellent craftsmanship and the use of classically inspired decorative motifs. The cross grained top has a banded border and serpentine shape. There is a solid mahogany serpentine shaped drawer at each corner of the table and wrought iron inset panels. The table is supported with acanthus leaf carved cabriole legs and Flemish feet. The table's finish is rich antique brown stain and the wood used is mindi wood. |
