This solid mahogany rope edge Chippendale side table is a new reproduction of a style made popular by Thomas Chippendale in 1780. Thomas Chippendale was a furniture maker and master craftsman and his designs were based on variations of previously published English, French and Chinese designs. The elongated corners are further accented by the full apron with rope edge. The table rest on cabriole legs with acanthus leaf carved knees and finishes with ball and claw feet. The carvings are crisp deep and precise. This Chippendale style end table is finished in a rich antique brown stain and the wood used is solid mahogany. |
