This solid mahogany round sunburst pedestal dining table is a new reproduction of a European style made popular during the reign of King Louis XV in France during the mid 1700's. Louis XV style furniture such as this table is asymmetrical, curvilinear in shape and features curved contours, and light, delicate proportions. The sunburst inlaid matched grain top has a banded border, bull nose molded edge and a full side apron. The pedestal begins with a turned and carved stalk and has four cabriole legs with acanthus leaf carving and finish with Flemish feet. The carving is crisp, deep and intricate. This Sunburst Pedestal Round Dining Room Table is finished is rich antique brown stain and the wood used is solid mahogany. |
