This heavily carved solid mahogany serpentine
front console table is a new reproduction of a style made popular during the
reign of King Louis XV in France, during the mid 1700's. The full apron is
pierce carved with acanthus leaf and flower detail. The table rests on cabriole
legs which are adorned with high relief carved flowers on the knees and
terinate with Flemish feet. the carvings are hand-crafted and intricate all
around the legs, the front, and sides. The table is further supported by a carved
stretcher base, rising to a acanthus floral crown. This table is made of solid
mahogany wood and finished in a traditional red-brown mahogany stain and satin
smooth. This console table has been finished in an antique brown mahogany stain. |
