This set of 8 Queen Anne Carved Arm
Chairs are a new reproduction of a style popular in the 18th century. The Queen
Anne furniture was at the height of its popularity from about 1720 to 1760. The
back is rest transitions into the rear legs of the chair that is attached by
seat frame supports. The dining chairs are upholstered in a cream color fabric. The open work splat with Prince-of-Wales plumage over
tapering tripartite stylized plumes with fluting is accented by the acanthus leaf carvings. The acanthus leaf caved cabriole legs finish with Flemish feet. This set includes 2 dining room arm chairs and 4 dining side chairs. All chairs
are finished in a rich antique brown stain and the wood used is solid mahogany. |
