This solid mahogany Louis XV style side chair is a new reproduction of a style made popular during the reign of King Louis XV in France during the late 1700's. Louis XV style furniture is characterized by elegant, refined lines, excellent craftsmanship and the use of classically inspired decorative motifs. The chairs finger roll edges encompass the entire frame and is also decorated with acanthus leaf and flower carvings at the crown and apron. The acanthus leaf carved cabriole legs finish with Flemish feet. This Louis XV style dining side chair is upholstered with a fabric that is a pastel multi-colored floral design on off white color background. The chair frame is finished in a rich antique brown stain and the wood used is solid mahogany. |
