This solid mahogany Hepplewhite sweetheart arm chair is a new reproduction of a style made popular by George Hepplewhite in the late 1800's. Hepplewhite style furniture, such as that of this arm chair is characterized by elegant, slender and graceful lines. The open work splat with Prince-of-Wales plumage over tapering tripartite stylized plumes with fluting is accented by the acanthus leaf carvings and the Ostrich feather motif carved arms. The shaped overupholstered seat rests on turned tapering legs with tulip feet. This Hepplewhite sweatheart arm chair is finished in a rich antique brown stain and the wood used is solid mahogany. |
